Telus Convention Centre - Addition and Renovation
Calgary, Alberta
Architect: Graham EdmundsProject Manager: CANA Management The Need: The Telus Convention Centre required barrier free hardware compliant with Canadian Barrier Free code and U.S. ADA legislation standards. All products needed to match existing systems supplied by Spalding Hardware previously to minimize ongoing cost of ownership. There was also a Parkade component that would be managed by the City of Calgary Parking Authority. Separate standards existed for this side of the project and these needed to be integrated into the overall hardware design. The Solution: Graham Edmunds involved the Spalding consulting team early in the design process to identify the unique challenges of the project. Following consultation with Graham Edmunds and the Telus Convention Centre, Spalding developed a specification reflecting the needs of the project. The Results: As a provider to CANA, together with our Hardware partners Sargent, Best and Auto Magic Spalding delivered a solution that meets the needs of the Convention Centre. |
